New system

While updating my Itch.io page, I noticed a new Jam ->  JagJam 2024
I'm already VERY late but I'm looking for a full game here but a small one to understand the system and Jams proved to be a booster for me.

The overview page gives all the links i was looking for to develop on Atari Jaguar (I never took the time to find them before).

And so, at 2 AM, I browed  the available solutions

jaguar-sdk was my first choice, because I'm more at home with GCC, make etc....
I cloned the repository, fixed here and there some stuff for OSX but, hélàs, I were unable to build GCC.
So dead end, while I was really fond of Removers' lib

jagStudio is a ready-to-use solution but I really dislike its "build" batch stuff (why not using make !!!).
I downloaded it, launched Parallels, built the sprite example and it runs with no problem....ok, good point.
I so took the time to dig it more,  to give it a chance ;)

To my surprise, it is full of features, even more than the Removers' lib.
Digging even more, I found a tutorial by Fadest sensei which definitely convinced  me to go with it ;)

What about technical data ? graphic capabilites ?
I downloaded the Jaguar Documentation and, well, on graphics side, my first impression was "oh, a Lynx on steroids"
Why ? because, again, it's not a tile based system but an object/sprite of any size system.
While it pissed me of lot on Lynx at first, I'm now used to it so it should avoid me to lost hours on assets definition.
If needed, I'll be able to update my tool (mainly the slice parser I suppose)

4 AM, let's go to sleep and keep the idea / assets research for tomorrow
